Alcorn State needs a good start

Head Coach Johnny Thomas has his hands full this season. Full of what you may ask? His hands are full of expectations. Last year the Braves kept under radar, but this year is totally different. Every team the Braves face this year will come in expecting to play good team.

For this reason it is extremely important to come out against UAPB and handle business. If the Golden Lions hang around in the game they will beat the Braves. A lost would be devastating to the Braves confidence.

Alcorn returns with most of their team back in crucial places. The most important player is the quarterback Donald Carrie.  He needs to make it a personal agenda to correct the people who overlooked him at the quarterback position when making offensive player of the year predictions.

The Golden Lions are a mystery. Word has it they changed the offense. Their camp has been quiet so it will be interesting to see what the new Golden lions will do.
